Mr. Paul David Wofford, age 85, of Marble Hill passed away Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Northside Hospital Cherokee. Mr. Wofford was born April 1, 1931 to the late Robert and Dessie Wofford.
He is survived by his children, Michael and Terrie Wofford of Ellijay, Randall and Sharon Wofford of Jasper, Teresa and Stan Worley of Dawsonville; sister, Vertie Moody of Canton; brothers, Lester Wofford of Jasper, Billy Wofford of Marble Hill; 7 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Janet Wofford.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Reverend Harold Cantrell and Reverend Johnny McPherson officiating. Interment will follow in Long Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home on Sunday from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
