Jasper Police Chief Greg Lovell said the individual only fired one round straight into the kitchen equipment but did not hit anyone in the restaurant. Lovell said the robber made a statement saying , “I am as scared as you are” to those in the restaurant and fired the one round as he was leaving the Waffle House.
The man’s race or age could be determined, He was wearing an “Anonymous” Mask and Gloves and the employees reported to officers that the man was well-spoken.
The suspect left on foot and apparently had a escape vehicle parked somewhere close by but, The Jasper Police have very little to go on at this point and are asking anyone with any information to call Sgt. Matt Dawkins at #706-253-9110.
