According To Owners “Aside from the overnight break in at our Jasper location, we are open for business”
Friday, Dec. 30, the Bub-Ba-Q restaurant on Highway 53 was burglarized and cash stolen.
According to reports from the Jasper Police Department, the back door was broken into between midnight and 2 a.m. and a small safe was taken.
When a employee arrived early morning for work, they noticed in the back area, Change was on floor, drawers had been gone through and the door was ajar. The safe was small enough that one person could carry it out. At that point they call the Police Department. Officers responded to the 911 call at approximately 7:48 a.m. on Friday.
The Police Department said the investigation is still in the very early stages, but at this time they do not believe the incident is tied to the recent burglaries in the area.
