Mr. Billy Turbeville: Obituary

Mr. Billy Turbeville, age 79 of Jasper, passed away Monday, January 9, 2017.  Billy was born November 27, 1937 to Rufus and Sally Turbeville in Lumberton, North Carolina.

Billy was a dedicated, self-made man. He was a photographer and owned Southeastern Portraits, Inc. His company photographed school pictures, school activities, weddings and other special events. He was a loving, caring, generous family man with a heart of gold. He adored his family and cared for others. He enjoyed gardening, surf-fishing, grilling, and was quite an athlete. He was a strong-minded, spiritual man with great work ethics and high morals.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Anne “Johnnie” Shaffer Turbeville of Jasper; daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Eddy Suantio of Marietta, Angela and Markham Healey III of Sandy Springs; son, Brent Turbeville of Jasper; grandchildren, Margot Turbeville, Cade Turbeville, and Oliver Healey IV.

A private graveside service was held Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Sunrise Memorial Gardens with Reverend Greg Pope officiating.
