Mr. Clarence Jones, age 89, of Talking Rock, passed away Monday, May 15, 2017 at his home. He was born December 5, 1927 to Clarence and Mae Jones in Atlanta, Georgia.
Mr. Jones is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Jackie Grant of Jasper; granddaughter, Niki Eubanks; great-grandchildren, Darla (Jason) Satterfield, Cody (Emily) Grant, and Kayla Eubanks; great-great-grandchildren, Grant and Peyton Satterfield and Addy and Cole Grant; sister, Francis Stanfield of Canton; brother, Billy and Virginia Jones. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his wife, Agnes Jones; parents, Clarence and Mae Jones; brother, Hobert Jones; and grandson, Tony Grant.
The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 17, 2017 in the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Reverend Autry Dean and Little Bill Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Cody Grant, Jason Satterfield, Cory Eubanks, Joey Jones, Dorsey Jones, and John Jones. Honorary pallbearers are Grant Satterfield and Cody Jones.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 16, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
