Mr. Walter Bruce Haun, age 92, of Jasper, passed away Sunday, July 23, 2017 at Kennestone Wellstar Hospital in Marietta. He was born January 28, 1925 to Walter Reid Haun and Manervia Powell Haun in Little Rock, Arkansas. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II and the Korean War. He received many honors including a Purple Heart.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Meredith and Nathan Carter of Jasper; daughter, Christina Haun Hurd of Savannah; granddaughter, Amanda Hutson of Savannah; brother and sister-in-law, Warren Scott and Claire Haun of Little Rock, Arkansas. Several cousins also survive.
Mr. Haun is being cremated and a Remembrance Celebration is planned for Saturday, August 19, 2017 at Rocco’s Pub in Jasper.
