Mr. Grover James Brooks, age 90, of Jasper, passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Sonshine Manor in Jasper.
Grover is survived by his wife, Bennie Brooks of Jasper; daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Mark Duncan of Jasper, Denise and Duane Buckles of Maryville, Tennessee; sister and brother-in-law, Martha and Billy Wigington of Marble Hill; grandchildren, David Duncan of Jasper, Danny Duncan of Jasper, Teresa Dyer of Jasper, and Fonda Roper of Ball Ground. Several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
He was preceded in death by sons, James Brooks and Alan Brooks.
The Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Corinth Baptist Church with Reverend Richie Gibbs officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Mr. Brooks’ honor to Corinth Baptist Church; Marble Hill Masonic Lodge; or Sonshine Manor in Jasper.
