Mr. Garry Wayne Poole: Obituary

Mr. Garry Wayne Poole, age 65, of Jasper passed away Saturday November 11, 2017 at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in Jasper. Mr. Poole was employed for many years with the City of Jasper and was a member of the Yellow Creek Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, S. A. and Willie Mae Blackwell Poole and grandchild, Allison Ray.

Mr. Poole is survived by his wife, Carylon Poole of Jasper; daughters, Tammy Ray of Ellijay and Tabatha Tilson of Jasper; brother, Ronnie Poole of Ellijay; sister, Betty Parker of Jasper; grandchildren, Angela Ray of Jasper, Ashley Ray of Athens, Nicole Hendon of Jasper, Haley Tilson of Jasper, Christopher Tilson of Jasper; great-grandchildren, Buckey Hendon, Phillip Williams, Waylon Williams, Angel Godfrey, and Rylan Hendon, all of Jasper. Several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

The Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Yellow Creek Baptist Church with Reverend William Blackwell officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with military honors being provided by Pickens Chapter #47 DAV.

The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home on Monday from 12:00 noon until 9:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.
