Walter Plin Doster, age 79, of Talking Rock passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at his home. Walter was born January 27, 1938 in Atlanta, Georgia to Walter Preston and Evelyn Vann Doster. He proudly served his country for 34 years in the United States Air Force.
He is survived by his wife, Vesta Doster of Talking Rock; son, Todd Doster of Talking Rock; daughter, Allison Soncrant of Marietta; grandson, Dillon Doster.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Tuesday at the First Baptist Church of Jasper with Dr. Jimmy Lewis officiating. Interment will follow in Turtletown Baptist Church Cemetery in Turtletown, Tennessee.
The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home on Monday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Georgia Mountains Hospice; 70 Caring Way; Jasper, GA 30143.
