Mrs. Claudine Hyde, age 91, of Jasper, passed away Friday, December 01, 2017 at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in Jasper. She was born February 1, 1926 to Admiral Dewey Carney and Ina Cantrell Carney in Pickens County. She was preceded in death by her husband, John R. Hyde.
Mrs. Hyde is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, J.I. and Sue Hyde of Talking Rock; granddaughter, Sherri and Corey Vaden of Woodstock; great-grandchildren, Sam and Kristin Mullinax of Jasper, Codey Long of Talking Rock; great-great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Mullinax, Alexander Mullinax; sisters, Ethelene Dorton of Canton, Betty Hodges of Canton, and Marell Wallace of Canton.
The funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 4, 2017 at Salem Baptist Church in Jasper with Reverend Buck Parker, Reverend Gene Childers, Reverend Adam Parker, and Reverend Allen Caylor officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home on Saturday from 3:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.; Sunday from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.; and Monday from 9:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.
