Pickens Schools on early release today

JASPER, Ga. – The Pickens County School System announced the early release of schools today (Jan. 16) due to the approach of a winter weather system. According to the Pickens County Schools Facebook page:

Due to inclement weather predicted to arrive in Pickens County this afternoon, the Pickens County School System will be operating on an early-release schedule today, Tuesday, January 16, 2018. School will be released at: 1:00 Elementary Schools, 1:30 High School, 1:50 Middle Schools.

All after school activities and after school programs will be canceled for today, 1/16/2018.
Information will be posted on the Pickens County School District website at www.pickenscountyschools.org, the Infinite Campus parent portal, district and school websites and social media sites, and sent to local media.
