Doris Carter: Obituary

Mrs. Doris Carter, born Doris Elaine Smith in Toccoa, Ga on June 9, 1929. Mrs. Carter has been a resident of Jasper since 1982. She is the daughter of the Late Homer Edward Smith and Ruby Mae Shearer Smith. As a Pentecostal Minister, Doris served with her husband, Rev. Kenneth Carlton Carter, at Burnt Mountain Holy Bible Church in Jasper, Ga.

Mrs. Cater is survived by Her Husband: Rev. Kenneth Carter of Jasper. Son and Daughter-in-Law: Bill & Virginia Hulsey of Springfield, MA. Stepson and Wife: Kenneth & Chelsea Carter of Jasper. Daughter & Son-in-Law: Elaine & Mike Evans of Bowersville. Daughter: Louyse Scott of Clarksville. Stepdaughter and Husband: Carla & Del Banks of Jasper. Sister-in-Law: Myra Smith of Newnan. Special Niece and Caregiver: Beverly Carter.
Grandson and Wife: Trey and Jessie Hulsey of North Wales, PA. Grandson: Jared Hulsey of Springfield, MA. Granddaughters and Husbands: Michelle & Jason Colquitt of Winterville, GA, Jessica & Jeziel Gonzalez of Wilbraham, MA and Milissa & Tom Molieri of Philadelphia, PA. Great-Grandsons: J. J. and William Gonzalez. Great-Granddaughters: Lydia Gonzalez and Olivia Molieri. Several nieces, nephews and step-grandchildren.

Doris is preceded in death her Brothers: Jerry Smith and Ed Smith. Sisters: Kate Fullbright and Frances Carter.

Mrs. Carter was first Married the the late William Floyd Hulsey, SR.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM Friday, March 23, 2018

Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Frioday, March 23, 2018 in the Cagle Funeral Home Chapel. Rev Grady Walden officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting family and friends make donations to the charity of their choice in Memory of Mrs. Carter.
