Mrs. Jessie Godfrey of Talking Rock, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at the age of 93.
She is survived by daughter, Ann Cain (Rick) of Jasper; grandson, Brannon Godfrey of Mableton; sisters, Shirley Grant of Jasper, Marie Stephens (James) of Holly Springs; brothers, Hobby Kirk, Norman Kirk, Donnie Kirk, Kenneth Kirk (Katheleen), Joe Kirk all of Talking Rock; special ex-daughter-in-law, Denise Godfrey of Mableton. Several nieces, nephews and friends also survive.
Jessie was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Godfrey; son, Timothy Godfrey; grandson, Daniel Godfrey; and brother, Bennie Kirk.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Roper Funeral Home with Brother Jason Segers and Reverend Bobby McFarland officiating. Interment will follow at Talking Rock Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be at Roper Funeral Home Wednesday, March 28, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Thursday, March 29, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
