Billy Franklin Hales, age 79, of Jasper, Georgia passed away Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Northside Hospital Cherokee.
Survivors include his wife, Shelba Hales of Jasper; son and daughter-in-law, Keith & Diane Hales of Jasper; daughter and son-in-law, Kim & Glenn Arp of Jasper; grandchildren, Chad & Marcy Ivy of Jasper, Kelly & A. J. Proudfoot of Jasper; great-grandchildren, Zoey Ivy, Aria Ivy, and Owen Proudfoot. Several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Oden Hales; sister, Frances Hales; and brother, Jack Hales.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Sunday, April 22, 2018 at the Roper Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Grant Wade, Reverend Tim Pearson, Reverend Graham Arp, and Brother Darrell Morris officiating. The interment will follow in the Refuge Baptist Church Cemetery with Pickens Star Lodge #220 in charge of the Masonic Graveside Service.
The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home Friday, April 20, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Saturday, April 21, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., and Sunday, April 22, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
