Avis Barnett Buchanan, age 85 of Jasper, Georgia passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Pruitt Health in Jasper. She was born November 11, 1932 to Nolan and Maybelle Barnett in Cartersville, Georgia.
Survivors include: husband, Troyet Buchanan of Jasper; sister-in-law, Mrs. James Buchanan; nephew, Charles and Marianne Lawson of Jasper; great-niece, Sherry Woodall of Wetumpka, Alabama; great-nephew, David Lawson of Talking Rock; and several other great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 25, 2018 in the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Reverend Bobby Padgett and Reverend Tommy Estes officiating. The interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Cartersville at 3:00 p.m.
The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home Thursday, May 24, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations ma y be made to Marble Hill Baptist Church in her memory.
