Arthur Atkins, age 86, of Jasper, Georgia passed away Sunday, August 5, 2018 at his home. He was a 50-year mason and a member of The Pickens Star Lodge #220 F & AM.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Lucile Atkins of Jasper; daughter, Margie Bray of Jasper; daughter-in-law, Janice Atkins Payne of Jasper; grandchildren, Steve Atkins of Jasper, BJ and April Atkins of Jasper, Dusty and Angela Atkins of Jasper, AJ Bray and Heather Keisler of Jasper; great-grandchildren, Skyler, Lexie, Caitie, Hunter, Sierra and Shea Atkins of Jasper. He was preceded in death by his son, Reggie Atkins.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Philadelphia Baptist Church with Reverend Grant Wade, Reverend Bobby McFarland, and Reverend Nathan Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home Sunday 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Monday 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and on Tuesday 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
The family will accept flowers or those who wish may make donations to the Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
