Pickens Dragons Receive Team Of The Week Honor

Coach Chris Parker and his fiery Dragons are sitting at 6-0 in the 2018 season.  Both fans and the larger media are starting to recognize that the football played up here in the mountains is for real.

Fox 5 Sports in Atlanta runs a poll for their High 5 Sports Team of the Week where through social media anyone anywhere can cast their vote for the team of their choice.  The community of Pickens County stepped up to take a commanding lead.

Thursday Morning Paul Milliken and his crew showed up at the high school for a pep rally with the team and students to award the famous High 5 Sports trophy to the Dragons of Pickens Co.  Milliken broadcast live in several segments on the Good Day Atlanta Morning show.  Players, students, band members, cheerleaders and even Mr. Paul Milliken himself hit the gym floor to show off a few dance moves.  Zach Goss and other players were interviewed on the success of the Dragon Football program and what it means to the community of pickens County.
