Fred Buchanan, age 55, of Tate passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in Jasper.
Survivors include his wife, Tonya Buchanan; sons, Ted Buchanan, Kevin Buchanan; daughter, Katie VanBuren; sister, Diane Buchanan; brothers, Ed Buchanan, John Castleberry; grandchildren, Claira VanBuren and Maren Buchanan.
The family will receive friends at Roper Funeral Home Friday, October 5, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Fred will remain in the care of the staff of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory as he is cremated.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Fred Buchanan Memorial Fund in care of Roper Funeral Home.
