John Daniel Miller, age 71, of Pickens County, passed away Thursday, January 30, 2020 at Charles George VA Medical Center in Asheville, North Carolina. He was born May 17, 1948 to Robert Crusaw and Helen Marie Miller in Blue Ridge, Georgia. He proudly served his country in the United States Army in Vietnam.
John is survived by his wife, Mikki Miller of Jasper; son, Christopher Shane Miller of Lagrange; daughter and son-in-law, Seana Miller Thompson and Charles Thompson of Ball Ground, Sharri Charlecia Miller Twyman of Jasper; grandchildren, Gretchen Rasco, Reuben Ronald and Macey Cooper Burnley, Lindsey Grace Thompson, Josie Caroline Thompson, Troy Wayde Twyman; brother and sister-in-law, Donald Edgar and Carol Miller of Blue Ridge; sister, Cathie Miller Hing of Jasper; sister and brother-in-law, Marjie Miller and Carter Devereaux of Blue Ridge.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Robert Crusaw Miller and Helen Marie Burnette Miller.
A Celebration of his life will be held Sunday, February 2, 2020. The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Veterans Administration in honor of Mr. Miller.
