Vehicle accident causes damage to county water department

PRESS RELEASE – This past Saturday, July 15, 2023 at around the noon hour, Pickens County Fire Rescue was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Henderson Mountain Rd and Jerusalem Church Road.

First arriving units discovered a two-car accident at the intersection. The incident resulted in one transport of a minor injury.

The county water department pump facility received damage to the security fence and emergency generator.

Units responding to the scene were Engine 63, Med 6, Battalion 11 and 1101, Water Department Director and Pickens Sheriff Office.
