Pickens County firemen dispatched to highway vehicle fire

PICKENS COUNTY, Ga. – On Sept. 1, Pickens County Fire was dispatched to a vehicle fire at the intersection of Hwy. 108 and Upper Bethany Road  around 12:22 p.m.

The first arriving unit reported a Jeep fully involved in fire. First arriving Engine-20 provided the initial fire attack line and the fire was quickly brought under control.

There were no injuries to the driver or firefighters. The vehicle appeared to have suffered a total loss.

Responding units were Bethany Salem Fire Engine 81, Pickens Fire Engine 11 and Engine 20, Med-2, Battalion-11, 1101, County Fire Marshal and Deputy Marshal.
