Thomas Young Holbrook : Obituary

Mr. Thomas Young Holbrook, age 82, of Ball Ground, Georgia, died Monday, September 5, 2011, at the Fannin Regional Hospital in Blue Ridge, Georgia, following a period of declining health.

Born December 4, 1928 in Atlanta, Georgia, he was the son of the late Johnny Holbrook and Margaret Jeanette Johnson Holbrook. Mr. Holbrook was a United States Army veteran and was a tree surgeon with Turner Tree Service.

Survivors include, HIS SON, David Holbrook, of Ball Ground, Ga.; GRANDSON, Jason Holbrook, of Dawsonville, Ga.

At his request, Mr. Holbrook was cremated and a Memorial Services is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at the Roper Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Von J. Hinton will officiate.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home, 4:00 p.m. Wednesday until the funeral hour.
