Mrs. Clara Mae Callahan, age 95 of Nelson, passed away at Heritage Health Care on Saturday, December 31, 2011. Visitation was held Sunday, January 1 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Monday from 8 a.m. until prior to the funeral hour.
Funeral Services were held Monday, January 2 at Long Swamp Baptist Church with Revs Thomas Shipman and Keith Cook officiating. Interment followed in the Church Cemetery with Lou Jack & Avery Jeans, Timmy Abernathy, Gene Crowe, Kevin Chamber & Jamie Nicholson serving as pallbearers.
Survivors are sons: Tunnie Padget, Ball Ground and Eddie Padget, Fairmount: daughers: Sue Young, Waleska and Brenda Thacker, Nelson; brother Russell Pendley, Tate; 16 grandchildren; several great-grandchilren; several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Callahan was preceded in death by her husbands: Edward Carl Padgett and Oscar Roy Callhan.
