Mr. Ed Jenkins, age 78 of Jasper, GA, passed away at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta on Sunday, January 1, 2012.Visitation will be held on Friday, January 6 from 4 to 8 p.m.
Funeral Services are scheduled for Saturday, January 7 at Jasper First Baptist Church with Dr. Jimmy Lewis officiating. Mr. Jenkins will lie in State at Antioch Baptist church in Blairsville in Union County (Hwy. 129 toward Murphy, NC) from 1 to 3 p.m. with interment following at the church cemetery with Military Honors.
Survivors are wife, Jo Jenkins, Jasper; daughters and son–in-law: Jan Jenkins Anderson and Larry Anderson, Roswell and Amy Jenkins Dotson, Jasper; brothers and sister-in-law: Charles and Bonnie Jenkins, Blairsville and Kenneth Jenkins, Blairsville; sisters and brothers-in-law: Marilyn and James Homer Thomasson, Blairsville, Ella and Tom Battle, Blairsville, and Patricia and Bobby Chambers, Gainesville.
The family will accept flowers but prefer memorials be made to Jasper First Baptist Church, Good Samaritan or Young Harris College.
