Danny Lamar Raffield : Obituary

Mr. Danny Lamar Raffield, age 58, of Jasper, Georgia, passed away Thursday, May 10, 2012 at his home following a period of declining health.

Born on October 8, 1953, in Bibb County, Georgia, Mr. Raffield was the son of the late James Laurice Raffield and Retha Courson Raffield. Mr. Raffield worked in maintenance at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital.

He is survived by his Sons, Adam Raffield, of Acworth, Georgia, and Kirk Raffield, of Jasper, Georgia, Brother, James Raffield, Jr., of Ashville, North Carolina, Half-Sisters, Brenda Raffield, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, and Kay Raffield, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, and Step-Mom, Lorretta Raffield, of Fitzgerald, Georgia.

A Memorial Service is scheduled for 12PM Noon, Saturday, May 12, 2012 from Chapel of Roper Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jesse Posey and Brother Villers Fitzgerald officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the American Cancer Society and brought to the Memorial Service. Danny’s Son Kirk will present these donations Saturday at the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.
