Mr. Charles F. Paris, age 79, of Jasper, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at Halcyon Hospice in Atlanta, Georgia following a period of declining health.
Born on July 12, 1933 in Atlanta, Georgia, to the late Lewie Melford Paris and Clara Margaret Gay Paris Mehutes, Mr. Paris worked as a retired Chief Petty Officer for the United States Government.
He is survived by, his Daughters, Tammy Lynn Paris, of Ellenwood, Ga., and Sonya Paris Reynolds, of Jasper, Ga., his Grandchildren, Stacie Lea Meachum, Jessica Candace Reynolds, Makayla Paris, and Amber Michelle Sprague, his Great-Grandchild, Kinsey Jordan Sprague, his Sisters, Jane Paris McCrary, Margaret Paris Parrish, Sue Paris Walker, Margaret Mehutes Wilson, and Nancy Lea Paris, his Brother, Thomas M. Mehutes, and many nieces and nephews also survive. Mrs. Paris was preceded in death by his Siblings, Elener Paris Nold, Ronald Owen Paris, and Charles F. Mehutes.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 2 PM Tuesday, July 24, 2012 from the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with the interment to follow at the Lake Forest Memorial Park with full military honors.
The family will receive friends at Roper Funeral Home on Sunday, July 22, 2012 from 4-8 PM and Monday, July 23, 2012 from 4-8 PM.
