Christopher Johnny Hooks : Obituary

Mr. Christopher Johnny Hooks, age 60, of Jasper, Georgia died Thursday, March 21, 2013 at his residence following a sudden illness.

Born April 18, 1952 in Sandersville, Georgia, he was preceded in death by his Father, Johnny Hooks. Mr. Hooks was retired from the United States Navy and had worked with the Georgia Forestry Service. He was a member of the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors include, SON, Christopher Chad Hooks and Leona Allison of Jasper, Ga.; DAUGHTER, Porscha Angela Ciara Hooks of Oviedo, Fla.; MOTHER, Mary Hampton of Canton, Ga.; SISTERS, Angela Hooks of Canton, Ga.; Cynthia Roach of Canton, Ga.; Lisa Hooks of Milledgeville, Ga.; BROTHERS & SISTERS-IN-LAW, Ronald Hooks of Clarksville, Tenn.; Dexter and Krystal Hooks of Fayetteville, N.C.; Kevin Roach of Canton, Ga.; Scotty and Tamia Roach of Canton, Ga.; Gary and Angela Roach of Canton, Ga.; Rocky and Dionne Arthur of Canton, Ga.; GRANDCHILDREN, Christopher Isaiah Hooks, Tristan Eligah Hooks, Keinyuan Hooks and Keihneia Hooks. Several Nieces, Nephews and other relatives also survive.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 26, 2013 from the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church with the remains placed in state at the church at 10:30 a.m., Rev. Kevin Roach, Rev. Leo Hampton and Minister Bruce Cherry will officiate with the interment to follow at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia with military honors by the United States Navy.

A Wake Service will be at the Roper Funeral Home, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, March 25, 2013.
