Mr. Terry Joe Chastain, age 71 of Jasper, passed away at his residence on Thursday, March 20, 2014.He is survived sons; Larry Allen Chastain, Anthony Lynn Chastain, daughter; Carol Sue Bostick, step-son; John Patrick Chastain, sister; Margaret Jane Abernathy, 8 grandchildren, 1 step-grandchild and 4 great-grandchildren. Terry was preceded in death by his father; John Emory Chastain, mother; Magnolia Chastain, half brother; John Efford Chastain and half sister; Edna Mae Carlton.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 6pm till 10pm, Saturday from 8am till 10pm, Sunday from 8am till 10pm and again on Monday from 8am until prior to the funeral hour. Funeral services are scheduled for 11am Monday at the chapel of Cagle Funeral Home with Rev. Eugene Childers officiating. The interment will follow at 2pm at the Georgia National Cemetery in Cherokee County with local chapter 47 DAV in charge of military rites.
