Mr. George Ray Fitts, age 90 of Marble Hill, passed away Thursday, March 3, 2016 at his home.
Mr. Fitts is survived by wife: Lorene Mulkey Fitts of Marble Hill; sons and daughters-in-law: Daniel & Estelle Fitts of Jasper, David & Teresa Fitts of Dawsonville, and Stephen & Joan Fitts of Marble Hill; brother and sister-in-law: Charles & Kathy Fitts of Marble Hill; sisters and brother-in-law: Susan & Ralph Beck of Jasper and Nancy Fracier of Jasper; grandchildren and spouses: Jason & Linda Fitts of Jasper, Jo Anna & Drew Swartz of Athens, Shannon & James Smith of Jasper, Nicholas Fitts of Dawsonville, and Elijah Fitts of Dawsonville; 10 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 4, 2016 from 12 noon until 10pm and on Saturday from 8am until prior to the funeral hour. The funeral service will be held at 2pm Saturday, March 5, 2016 from the chapel of Cagle Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Cantrell and Rev. Jerry Watkins officiating. Interment at Long Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will accept flowers or donate to Long Swamp Baptist Church or CARES.
