Mr. Ben Frank Whitmore, age 76, of Jasper, passed away Thursday, June 23, 2016 at his home.
Ben was born January 24, 1940 to Barney Lee and Ellen Whitmore in Jasper. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Whitmore of Jasper; daughter, Kelly Whitmore of Jasper; son, Samuel Nathan Whitmore of Jasper; sister, Peggy Ray of Jasper. Several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
The funeral service will be 3:00 p.m., Sunday, June 26, 2016 at the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Reverend Greg Meadows officiating. Interment will follow at Jasper City Cemetery with Military Honors by Pickens DAV Chapter 47 and Masonic Graveside by Pickens Star Lodge #220.
Visitation will be Saturday from 2:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Georgia Masonic Children’s Home through Pickens Star Lodge #220.
