Mr. Leon Gay, age 69 of Canton, passed away Wednesday, February 08, 2017. He was born February 26, 1947 to Hubert and Inez Satterfield Gay in Canton.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah Gay of Canton; son, William Gay of Canton; daughter, Rebekah Gay of Canton; brother and sister-in-law, Melvin and Rachel Gay of Canton; brother-in-law, John Stanfield of Ball Ground; and sister-in-law, Casey Childers of Canton. Several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 11, 2017 at the First Baptist Church of Jasper with Reverend Greg Pope officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.; Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.; and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.
The family will accept flowers or memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Jasper; 198 East Church Street; Jasper, Georgia 30143.
