Open House And School Supply Lists

Pickens County Schools begin Tuesday, August 1st this year. Before the learning begins, our schools have provided a list of the open house dates and supply lists for elementary grades below.

2017-2018 Supply Lists

KINDERGARTEN: scissors (blunt tip), 2 packs 24 count crayons, 8 glue sticks, #2 Pencils – no mechanical please, baby wipes, 1 composition notebook, 1 pencil pouch,1 set watercolor paint, backpack (not toddler size) with student name – no wheels, rest mat or towel with student name

Optional Items: kleenex/tissues, disinfectant Wipes, gallon and quart size ziploc Bags, extra glue sticks, dry erase expo markers

FIRST GRADE: 3-Packs of #2 Pencils – no mechanical, 2 packs of 24 count crayons, 3 – (1 inch) white 3 ring binders, scissors, pencil pouch, 2 packs large pink erasers, 1 pack notebook paper, 4 glue sticks, 1 bottle white glue, 2 spiral notebooks, 1 composition notebook, backpack – no wheels

Optional Items: disinfectant wipes, kleenex/facial tissues, ziploc bags (multiple sizes), dry erase markers

SECOND GRADE: backpack – no wheels, 1 pencil pouch, 3-two pocket folders (no prongs), 4 packs yellow #2 pencils, 4 glue sticks, 1 box colored pencils or markers, 2 – 24 count crayons, 2 – spiral notebooks, 2 – composition notebooks, scissors, 2 packs cap erasers, 1 pack thin black expo markers

Optional Items: kleenex/tissue, disinfectant wipes

THIRD GRADE: #2 yellow pencils, 1 pack cap erasers, 1 pack large erasers, 2-1 subject spiral notebooks, 4 – composition notebooks, 6 – 2 pocket plastic/vinyl folders, 2 – 24 pack crayons, scissors, 2 – highlighters, 1 pencil, 1 pencil pouch, 4 glue sticks, earbuds

Optional Items: kleenex/tissue, disinfectant wipes, baby wipes, ziploc bags

FOURTH GRADE: 2-Spiral Notebooks, 3-Composition Notebooks, #2 Pencils, cap style erasers, pencil pouch, personal pencil sharpener, 6-2 pocket folders, dry erase Markers, scissors, 4 – glue sticks, colored pencils or crayons, highlighters, earbuds

Optional Items: facial Tissues, hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes, kleenex/facial tissue, ziploc bags

FIFTH GRADE: 4-composition notebooks (no spiral), 2-pocket folders, 3 – 3 ring binders (1 or 1 ½ inch), #2 Pencils, pens (blue or black), 4 glue sticks, highlighters, ear buds, 2-packs loose leaf wide-ruled notebook paper, cap style erasers, dry erase markers, colored pencils, scissors

Optional Items: kleenex/facial tissues, disinfectant wipes, ziploc bags (all sizes)
