Mr. Gary Thomas Childers, age 69, of Jasper, passed away Sunday, November 26, 2017 at his home. He was born March 14, 1948 in Jasper, Georgia.
Gary is survived by his wife, Dianne Childers of Jasper; sons and daughters-in-law, Von and Tracy Headrick of Jasper, Kyle and Anna Headrick of Dawsonville; daughter, Shannon Robbins of Jasper; grandchildren, Lindsey Headrick of Jasper, Lucas Headrick of Jasper, Ryan Headrick of Dawsonville; brothers, Travis Childers of Calhoun, Donnie Childers of Calhoun, Chris Childers of Calhoun. Several nieces, nephews, and other family members also survive.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father David Childers and Mildred Johnson; brother, Ricky Childers; and son-in-law, Melvin Robbins.
The Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 29, 2017 in the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Reverend Harold Cantrell officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Pall bearers will be Kenny Childers, Terry Jenkins, Brad Jenkins, Jason Childers, Josh Childers, and Ray Jenkins.
Visitation will be at Roper Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Monday, 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, and from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour on Wednesday.
Arrangements are entrusted to the staff of Roper Funeral Home & Crematory in Jasper, Georgia.
