Kim was born and raised in Jasper, Georgia. She grew up in a restaurant atmosphere alongside her parents. She is married to Bill Lawrence, and has two children, Walker and Will.
In her boutique, Magnolia’s on Main, Kim carries several different types of clothing, hoping to have something for every age group. She also has lots of handmade jewelry, including Lizzy James. With these other selections, she also carries Bedstu shoes and purses, all of which are hand stitched and real leather.
