Jean Elliott “Ms. Jean” Ray, age 66, of Jasper, passed away Friday, March 9, 2018 at North Fulton Hospital. Ms. Jean taught school in the Pickens County School System for over 30 years.
Survivors include: husband, Ronnie Ray; daughters and sons-in-law, Rhonda & Scott Pope of Jasper, Stephanie Ray of Jasper, Amanda & Steve Prather of Canton; grandchildren, Jordan Prather of New Zealand, Jacob Prather of Canton, Hannah Keeter of Pickens County; brother and sister-in-law, David George “Buddy” and Laura Elliott of LaGrange; niece, Jessica Mitchell; nephew, Brett Elliott of Soul, South Korea; great-nieces, Isabella Mitchell and Savannah Mitchell.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, March 12th, 2018 at the Jasper United Methodist Church with Rev. Max Caylor and Rev. Kathy Howard officiating. Mrs. Ray will be cremated following the service.
The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home Saturday, March 10, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Sunday, March 11, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Monday from 9:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers make donations to Tate United Methodist Church Missions Fund.
