Roger Allen Green

July 22, 1986 – June 7, 2019

Roger Allen Green Jr., age 32, of Nelson passed away Friday, June 7, 2019 at Emory St. Joseph Hospital. Roger was born July 22, 1986 in Jasper, Georgia.

He is survived by his father, Roger Allen Green Sr. of Tate; mother, Stacy Gentry and her fiance Chris Jordan of Nelson; sister, Kaya Jordan of Nelson; brother, Dominque Jordan of Canton; brother and sister-in-law, Alan and Heather Weaver of Nelson; sister and brother-in-law, Brandie and Daniel Rogers of Ellijay, brother and sister-in-law, Tommy and Alexis Greer of Ellijay; sister, Shawna Taylor of Blue Ridge; sister and brother-in-law, Shannon and Brad Hill of Homer; brother, John Benton of Athens; grandparents, Cecil and Linda Sweat of Jasper; uncle, Mooney Green of Atlanta; aunts, Yvonne Dishroon, Janice Bridges and Gerald Bridges. Several nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive.

Mr. Green was preceded in death by Adam Gentry.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Tate with Reverend Tyrone Gates, Reverend Linda Stephens, Reverend, Kevin Roach, Reverend Leo Hampton and Reverend Brian Anderson. Interment will follow at the Lake Forest Memorial Park.

The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home and Crematory on Sunday, June 9, 2019 from 12:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Monday, June 10, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Tuesday 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.

Flowers will be accepted or donations can be made to the Roger Allen Green Jr. memorial fund.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Staff of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory.
