The Pickens Dragons (13-4, 5-2) traveled up to Ringgold to battle the Heritage Generals (7-11, 3-4) in a big 6-AAAA region meeting. Pickens, picked up a win earlier in the season against the Generals, and looked to earn the regular season sweep much like the Nettes did before them.
To open the ball game, the Generals went on a 5-0 run to take an early lead. Heritage, would race out to a 14-7 lead, but the Dragons made a run. Fueled by Tucker Lowe, Luke Rogers, and Noah Sutton, Pickens went on an 11-0 run to take an 18-14 lead. The Generals, closed out the quarter on a 5-2 run, but the Dragons held a slim lead of 20-19, going to the second.
