Katherine Brown Holt: Obituary

Katherine Brown Holt, age 67 of Jasper, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2020 at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital. She was born July 15, 1952 to Huston and Pauline Trammell in Cherokee County.

Katherine is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Penny and Tim Thomas of Jefferson; son, Travis Brown of Jasper; daughter, Lyn Vick of Ellijay; granddaughter, Kayla Thomas of Jefferson; grandsons, Nicholas Thomas of Jefferson, Byron Prather of Ellijay, Sabrena Thomas of Loganville, Matthew Keylon of Loganville; sisters, Susie Smith of Dahlonega, Janice Burns of Jasper; brothers, Thomas Trammell of Ball Ground, Tim Trammell of Ball Ground; and special friend, Gene Evans of Marble Hill. Several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Holt; parents, Huston and Pauline Trammell; siblings, Helen Dunn, Paulette Bennett, Imogene Ridings, Teresa Ryan, and Paul (Buck) Trammell.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at Mount Vernon Baptist Church with Reverend Steven Chapman and Reverend William Blackwell officiating. Interment will follow in the Mount Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery; 8188 Kelly Bridge Road; Dawsonville, GA 30534.

The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home, Tuesday, January 28, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday, January 29, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Roper Funeral Home.
