2nd half rally leads Nettes to victory over Dawson

Dawsonville, Ga — The Pickens Dragonettes, have had an interesting week to say the least. On Tuesday, they traveled to Rossville to take on the Ridgeland Lady Panthers in 7-AAAA action. The Nettes, set a school record for three point makes in a game on route to a 92-23 win. On Friday, the Nettes were set to travel to Tunnel Hill to take on the Lady Bruins of Northwest Whitfield, but the game had to be postponed due to covid issues. On Saturday, the Nettes traveled to Dawsonville for an early afternoon tilt with a good Dawson Lady Tiger team in non-region action.

In the first quarter, both offenses found scoring early as the three pointers were flying early and often. The Nettes also found success scoring inside as well. After a back and forth first period, the Lady Tigers took a 19-16 lead into the second.

In the fourth quarter, the Nettes used the momentum built in the third quarter and carried it over into the fourth as they stormed back from a double digit second half deficit, to pick up a big road win, 69-62.

With the win, Pickens moves to 14-3 on the season. The Nettes, will be back on the road Tuesday evening as they take on the North Murray Lady Mountaineers in another non-region contest. Tip off set for 6 pm.
