Williams signs with Kennesaw State

Jasper, Ga — Wednesday, February 7th was the second National Signing Day for Senior high school football players around the country and one of those Seniors was from Pickens High School. TE Isaiah Williams made it official on Wednesday putting pen to paper signing with Kennesaw State University to continue his academic and athletic careers.

 

Williams, played all four years for the Pickens Dragons football team playing both the tight end and defensive end positions. Williams, got offered the opportunity to play for the Owls during a visit on Sunday, January 28th. The next day, Williams was committed.

Williams, took a visit to Virginia Tech during his recruitment and had received offers from the United States Naval Academy, the University of Maine, Stetson University, Lenoir-Rhyne University, Reinhardt University, University of Virginia-Wise, Georgia Military College, North Greenville University, Erskine College, Carson-Newman University, and the University of Charleston.

Owls Defensive Coordinator Greg Harris, added this about the signing:

“This offense is a TE’s dream and we got a good one!!”

 

The Owls, have big things to look forward to as a program as they make the leap into the FBS and Conference USA which includes the likes of Florida International University, Jacksonville State, Liberty, Louisiana Tech, Middle Tennessee State, New Mexico State, Sam Houston, UTEP, Western Kentucky University, and Delaware joining in 2025.
