Mrs. Alice Prasek Gabriel, age 84, of Jasper, Georgia died Sunday, November 25, 2012 at the Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in Jasper, Georgia.

Born November 9, 1928 in Cleveland, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late John and Ruth Prasek. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Tate United Methodist Church. Alice’s family moved to Winter Park, Florida when she was a young girl and graduated from Winter Park High School. She married Milton Gabriel on August 8, 1958. Mr. Gabriel was an Air Force officer stationed at a nearby Orlando Air Force Base. Milton was career military and they were stationed throughout the United States and overseas. After retirement they lived in Texas for twenty years before settling in Jasper, Georgia in 1998.

Survivors include HER HUSBAND, Milton Gabriel of Jasper, Ga.; TWO DAUGHTERS, Nancy Sullivan Fish and her Companion, John Daldiel of Altoona, Fla.; Carol Gabriel Tholen (Rudy) of Benton, Tenn.; GRANDCHILDREN, Damon Fish, Corey Fish, Brennan Fish, Rachel Marie Cangemi and Christopher Monroe Hatfield; GREAT-GRANDCHILD, Weston Monroe Hatfield. Friends of the family include Wesley Graydon and Cale Quinton.

Graveside Services are scheduled for 12:30 p.m., Thursday, November 29, 2012 at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia, Rev. Louise Elmore will officiate.

The family will receive friends at the Roper Funeral Home, 10:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. on Thursday morning.
