Those in attendance also applauded those who set new records for Pickens High School, as Drew Bellows’ time of 1:59.96 in the 800 meter run and Tyler Craig’s pole vault of 16’5” was enough to set new marks for future Dragons to aim at. Craig also set a new GHSA AAAA pole vault record of 15’7″.

Also receiving the Coaches’ Awards for outstanding work ethic and team spirit were senior Hillary Wheeler and junior Dustin Nelson.

The team also made it a point of emphasis to thank Adam Petrillo for helping coach pole vault and Ray Langley for his many years of service to PHS Track and Field. Coach Langley is retiring after this school year and will undoubtedly be missed.
