Mrs. Annie Ruth Ledford, age 78, of Tate, Georgia died February 23, 2011 at Heritage Healthcare in Jasper, Georgia following a period of declining health.Born on March 22, 1932 in Pickens County, Georgia to the late Leonard and Eula Bruce, Mrs. Ledford was a homemaker. Mrs. Ledford was preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Ledford and brother and sister-in-law, James and Bernice Bruce. She was also a member of the Marble Hill Baptist Church.

She was survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Annette Ledford of Tate, Ga., sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Bill Byess of Somerville, Al., Shirley and Tracy Forrest of Morganton, Ga., Gail and Tommy Garrison of Marble Hill, Ga. and Violet Morrison of Marietta, Ga., brothers & sisters-in-law, Gene and Eliana Bruce of Norfolk, Va., Roy and Paulette Bruce of Marble Hill, Ga. and Edith Heath of Marble Hill, Ga., several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 11 am, Saturday, February 26, 2011 from the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with the Rev. Harold Bottoms and Rev. Mike Mize officiating with the interment to follow at Four Mile Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Roper Funeral Home in Jasper, Ga. on Thursday, February 24, 2011 beginning at 6pm, all day Friday and until the funeral hour Saturday.
