The Kennesaw State Owls softball team followed up their doubleheader sweep on Friday of North Florida, 5-3 and 7-5, with a pair of losses at Jacksonville on Saturday, 13-3 and 5-2, to start off Atlantic Sun Conference play at 2-2.
The Owls (16-12, 2-2 A-Sun) got a pair of wins from sophomore pitcher Abbey Meixel on Friday. Offensively, Jensen Hackett (5-for-12, 3 RBI) Sharon Swanson (5-for-14, 2 RBI) and Sara Sikes (6-for-15, 2 RBI) led the Owls over the four games.

The Black and Gold take to the field once again on Tuesday, when they visit Samford for a doubleheader beginning at 5 p.m. EDT. They return home on Wednesday for a doubleheader against UAB at 4 p.m. EDT.
