Mr. James Golden Taylor, age 73, of Jasper, Georgia died Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at the Grandview Health Care Center in Jasper, Georgia, following a period of declining health.Born June 16, 1937 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, he was the son of the late Martin Cecil Taylor and Johnnie Fleming Taylor. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou Fountain Taylor; Sister, Ann Randorf and Brother-in-law, Bob Barnett. Mr. Taylor had last worked as a heavy equipment operator at Georgia Marble in Tate, Georgia and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include: Step-daughter, Deborah Beasley of Jasper, Ga.; Step-son, Jeff Beasley of Jasper, Ga.; Sister, Mona Barnett of Barnesville, Ga.; Step-grandchildren, Shannon Beasley, Cheryl Crump, Rhonda Addington and Tonya Kendall; Step-great-grandchildren, Kimberly Garrett, Brison Mulkey, Derrick Mulkey and Levi Hyde; Brothers-in-law and Sisters-in-law, Dale Randorf of New Mexico, Bill Fountain of Tampa, Fla., Minnie and J.R. Hancock of the Ludville Community, Nancy Young of the Ludville Community, Bonnie and Kenneth Burton of the Jerusalem Community.
At his request, Mr. Taylor was cremated and a Memorial Service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 2nd, 2011 at the Friendship Baptist Church in the Ludville Community, the Rev. Larry Stover will officiate with the interment of the cremains to follow in the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.
