Mr. James E. ‘Jim’ Blackwell, age 81 of Ball Ground, passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2011 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta.Survivors include his Wife: Faye (Sperin) Blackwell of Ball Ground; Sons and Daughters-In-Law: Mark and Gaye Lynn Blackwell of Jasper and Clark and Terri Blackwell of Canton; Brothers: W.C. Blackwell, Jr., Jack Blackwell, Jerry Blackwell and Roy Blackwell, all of Jasper and Joe Blackwell of Henagar, AL; Sisters: Lila Johnson of Pensacola, FL, Sue Tatum of Canton, Joyce Davis of Omaha, NE and Patricia Blackwell of Fort Myers, FL; Grandchildren: Cole and Amanda of Waleska, Clint and Kristin of Ellijay and Cody and Catie of Canton; Great-Grandchildren: Mac, Lauren and Knox of Waleska and Zed of Ellijay; Several Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2PM on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at the Chapel of Cagle Funeral Home with Reverend Tim McFarland officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held at Cagle Funeral Home on Monday, May 16th from 10AM to 10PM and Tuesday, May 17th from 8AM until the Funeral Hour.

The Family will accept flowers, but would prefer Contributions be made to Mica Baptist Church Cemetery Fund – C/O Hubert Sperin, 6694 Yellow Creek Road, Ball Ground, GA 30107.
