Mr. Thomas Buren “Tommy” Harris, Jr., age 62, of Jasper, Georgia died Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at his residence following a period of declining health.Born January 7, 1949, Mr. Harris was a self-employed roofer in the home repair industry.

Survivors include, His wife, Gail Harris, of Jasper, Ga.; His daughters & sons-in-law: Margie and Max Smith, of Jefferson, Ga., Mary Sue and Robert Harris, of Helen, Ga., Roxand and Vaughn Gautreaux, of Oakwood, Ga., Tracy Harris, of Alabama, Crystal and Joey Harris, of Jasper Ga., Terri and Carl Crawford, of Jasper, Ga., Leannn Thompson, of Jasper, Ga.; His son & daughter-in-law: Robby Shane and Lynn Harris, of Ellijay, Ga; His sister, Sandra Davis of Dallas, Ga.;His cousins/brothers: Kenny Harris, of Dallas, Ga., and Danny Cantrell, of Cartersville, Ga.; His nephew, Charles Edward Harris of Alpharetta, Ga.; 23 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, July, 1, 2011 at 11 AM from the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with the Rev. David LeGrande officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10 AM until 9 PM on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at Roper Funeral Home, Jasper, Ga.

At his request, Mr. Harris will be cremated following the funeral service.
