Do you know what happens when a society, like ours, abandons a biblical worldview? The answer is predictable and Scripture gives countless examples (The entire book of Judges for example). One aspect of rejecting Scripture is a slow but sure devaluation of human life. Other things and other life forms will surpass a person’s worth in society.

So, what do we see happening in America? Well, we can legally murder our children through abortion (55 million and counting). That’s a pretty good devaluation of life I’d say.

Then, we are beginning to see the other end of life being devalued. Senior citizens are becoming a burden, rather than an asset. They are living too long too so what will happen?

We may think euthanasia is not possible here, but it already is here in limited form through health care regulations (withholding of medical services through insurance or government regulations) and it will get worse with Obamacare. There are still death panels in the new law. They are called other things so maybe you won’t notice. In the near future, health care will be rationed and rationing will kill people especially the elderly. This is true everywhere else there is socialistic medicine. It will happen here.

Today we can already see that nature and animals are slowly surpassing human beings in value. Humans are thrown off their land because some fish, turtle, or bird is in peril. Humans can’t build a home or business because a protected lake or stream is nearby. Every time an effort is made to build gas refineries, coal plants, or a nuclear reactor the environmentalist sue to stop it and usually win. The environment is more important than man. This is contrary to God’s design. In Genesis 2 God gave the earth, animals, and nature to man not visa versa.

God blessed them; and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” Then God said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the surface of all the earth, and every tree which has fruit yielding seed; it shall be food for you; and to every beast of the earth and to every bird of the sky and to every thing that moves on the earth which has life, I have given every green plant for food”; and it was so.1 God saw all that He had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.

There is a worldwide effort through the United Nations to control the entire environment of the earth. It is called Agenda 21. This is a radical program to limit population, relocate human beings, and make much of the earth’s land off limits to humans. We are in the process of worshiping mother earth. Three American Presidents have signed on through Executive Orders including President Obama.

Think about it. We can’t pray in school, at football games, or post the Ten Commandments. But, we can worship Mother Earth.

The new Mother Earth religion is taught in our schools and its messages are the basis of many Hollywood movies including The Day the Earth Stood Still (Remake), WALL-E, Fire Down Below, China Syndrome, and Avatar.

By the way, did you ever wonder where all the communists went? They migrated to the green movement. They know that they can accomplish their goals without guns and without folks noticing at least not until it is too late.

Will God allow all these things to happen? I don’t know. It probably depends on who we worship— Him, or Mother Earth.

NOTE: Please forgive my dark presentation this week, but I am very burdened for this country.
