Mr. Walter Hanzi age 81 of Jasper passed away Sunday evening at his home.

He was born on October 5, 1930 in Switzerland. Early in life he was an avid skier. Mr. Hanzi served in the United States military in the 10th Infantry. He was self employeed in the contruction industry and was a member of the Bethel Tabernacle.

Funeral Service will be 11 AM Wednesday August 10, 2011 at the Bethel Tabernacle with Rev. Larry Phillips officiating.

The interment will follow in the Georgia National Cemetery.

He is survived by his Wife, Gertrude Hanzi, Jasper, Daughters & Son-in-law, Sandra & Roman Hager Suwannee, Alyssa Hanzi, Marietta, Brothers, John Hanzi, Texas and Werner Hanzi, Switzerland, Sister, Lily Hanzi, Switzerland also survives.

The family will accept flowers or those who desire may make contributions to Bethel Tabernacle.

Arrangements are entrusted to Roper Funeral Home & Crematory.
