Mr. Joseph Steven Ward, age 59, of Jasper, Georgia died Sunday, November 20, 2011, at his residence following a sudden illness.

Born March 31, 1952 in Atlanta, Georgia, he was the son of the late Joseph Scott Ward and Margaret Breedlove Ward. Mr. Ward had previously worked as a brick mason.

Survivors include, DAUGHTERS & SON-IN-LAW, Christy Buice, of Dawsonville, Ga.; Deanne and Tommy Hitchcock, of Dawsonville, Ga.; Amanda Ward, of Cumming, Ga.; SISTERS, Kay Ward, of Hampton, Ga.; and Melissa Carden, of Cleveland, Tenn.; BROTHERS, David Ward, of Dublin, Ga.; Wendall Breedlove, of Woodstock, Ga.; and Ricky Breedlove, of Atlanta, Ga.; 7 Grandchildren, 1 Great-Grandson, Several Nieces, Nephews and other relatives also survive.

Visitation is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at the Roper Funeral Home. At his request, Mr. Ward will be cremated following the Visitation on Tuesday.
